Student Loan Trust Fund opens registration portal for first-year students (Register Now)
The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, has launched an application portal for first-year students of public tertiary institutions in Ghana to register for financial support from the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF).
This press statement was released on April 29, 2025, and signed by Dr. Saajida Shiraz.
This initiative forms part of the Mahama-led administration’s No-Fees-Stress policy, which aimed to reduce the financial barriers that prevent Ghanaian students from pursuing tertiary education.
According to SLTF's statement, "it is a strategic investment by the government in our nation's human capital development and future competitiveness, and it will catalyze Ghana's quest for accessible and inclusive higher education."
SLTF has committed to making sure this policy is successfully rolled out and implemented.
SLTF also highlighted that the No-Fees-Stress portal offers a streamlined registration process, enabling students to easily provide their information.
This allows SLTF to efficiently authenticate their eligibility for government support under this policy.
