King Promise crowned 26th TGMA Artiste of the Year
Ghanaian Afrobeat Artist King Promise emerged as the biggest winner of the 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday night, May 10, 2025.
The most memorable moments in Ghana’s music history, King Promise emerged as Artiste of the Year at the 26th TGMAs.
Overtaking 26th TGMA list of nominees, including Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, King Paluta, Joe Mettle, Team Eternity, and Kweku Smoke, King Promise’s victory gives credence to the ‘when the time is right’ statement.
On stages across the world releasing the critically acclaimed ‘True to Self’ album, which also won Album/EP of the Year, King Promise proved that consistency, versatility, and connection with fans are still the ingredients of greatness.
After he stepped on stage to receive the top honour of the night, an emotional King Promise dedicated the award to everyone who believed and paid tribute to his journey, one that began with silky vocals and a dream and has now culminated in the highest recognition in Ghanaian music.
On the historic night, it felt fitting that the crown went to an artist who represents both the past decade of growth and the bright future ahead.
As the 26th TGMA goes down , King Promise officially earned the Artiste of the Year.
