The Management of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), invited suitably qualified candidates for admission into various programmes: Full-time, sandwich, and distance undergraduate and postgraduate academic programmes for the 2025/2026 academic year.
NOTE: Current final year students who are yet to write their final exams may also apply while awaiting their results (Awaiting Results)
University of Education Winneba (UEW) Admission Entry Requirements 2025
The minimum admission requirements for applicants applying for admission into the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), are that they should have at least six credits (A1–C6 in WASSCE and A–D in SSSCE) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science (for science-related programs), or Social Studies (for non-science-related programs), and three relevant elective subjects.
About the Mature Entry
An applicant seeking admission through the Mature Entry mode to the University of Education, Winneba, must:
- Be twenty-five (25) years of age by 30th September, 2025. (Proof of age with documents such as a birth certificate, Ghana Card, Social Security and National Insurance Trust Card, and passport would be required.).
- Have a minimum of GCE/SSSCE/WASSCE/DBS or RSA/TVET Certificate. He/She must also have at least 2 years of working experience in the relevant area.
- Pass an Entrance Examination in the General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Subject Area Test (SAT) to be organized by the university. However, mature applicants seeking admission to pursue special education would also be required to pass another SAT.

How to Apply for the UEW Admission Form 2025/2026 To successfully apply for the University of Education, Winneba admission form for the 2025/2026 academic year, you are advised to follow the instructions given below:
Candidates should visit the UEW admission portal at www.uew.edu.gh and click on the "Apply Button" or alternatively go to Candidates should purchase an e-voucher from any of the vendors listed below.
State emphatically whether you wish to apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate program.
Log in with the form on the right-hand side, using the voucher number and PIN that were provided to you.
Select your mode of entry and indicate your entry type (i.e., post-WASSCE/SSCE, post-diploma, mature, etc.).
Click submit to start applying. Fill out the application form and attach your passport picture.
The applicant’s passport picture shouldd be in .jpg, .jpeg, .png, or .gif format and must not exceed 100 KB in size.
Make sure you upload a picture showing your face clearly.
Clicking the SAVE AND CONTINUE LATER button will save your application for editing later.
Clicking the SUBMIT AND PRINT button will submit the form and generate a reference number, which will be sent to the phone number you provided.
Make sure you provide the correct information before submitting the form.
Changes after form submission are not allowed.
Track and print the application form you filled out.
