2025 BECE Official Timetable and Key Details All Candidates Need to Know
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially announced the date and timetable for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and key details all candidates need to know.
Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) will commence on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, and end on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. This schedule applies to both school and private candidates across Ghana.

Key Details for Candidates:
Arrival Time: Candidates are advised to be seated at least 30 minutes before the start of each paper.
Continuous Sitting: Both papers for each subject are to be taken at one sitting without a break.
Time Discrepancies: If there is a difference in time between the question paper and the timetable, the time on the question paper should be followed.
Special Provisions: Candidates with visual and hearing impairments are to be allowed an additional 50% of the time allotted to other candidates.
Dress Code: Students must be in their approved school uniforms for the duration of the exam.
Materials Needed: Students should bring HB pencils, erasers, rulers, mathematical sets, and their exam ID cards. Use of calculators or mobile phones is strictly prohibited.
Exam Rules: Any form of malpractice will lead to disqualification and possible cancellation of results.
