Bank of Ghana (BoG) Releases Exchange Rates for Wednesday, June 4, 2025


The Bank of Ghana has officially released the exchange rates for major foreign currencies as of Wednesday, June 4, 2025. These rates are used by commercial banks across the country when trading foreign money with customers.

 

According to the press statement released by Bank of Ghana, the US dollar is being bought at GH¢10.2449 and sold at GH¢10.2551. This means that if you are going to the bank to exchange your dollars into Ghana cedis, the bank will give you GH¢10.2449 for every dollar. 

However, if you want to buy dollars from the bank, you will need to pay GH¢10.2551 for each dollar.

The statement also revealed that for those dealing with British pounds, the buying rate is GH¢13.8541, while the selling rate is GH¢13.8690. Just like the dollar, this means the bank will pay you GH¢13.8541 for every pound you sell, and you will need GH¢13.8690 to buy one pound from the bank.

Additionally, the euro exchange rate update; The buying rate for the euro is GH¢11.6598, and the selling rate is GH¢11.6703.

 

These rates are average interbank rates, which means they are the standard rates commercial banks use to do business with each other. The rates may change slightly from one bank to another, depending on the bank’s own policies and charges.

The Bank of Ghana updates these rates daily to help businesses, travelers, and individuals make informed decisions when exchanging currencies. Anyone who plans to travel, import goods, or receive money from abroad can use this information to plan their finances. People are advised to always check with their banks for the final rates before making any transactions.
