Daily Exchange Rates On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, releases by the Bank of Ghana

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has released the interbank exchange rates for Tuesday, June 24, 2025, based on trading activity from the previous day.

Regarding the statement released by the Bank of Ghana (BoG), the Ghanaian cedi (GH₵) continues to experience fluctuations against major foreign currencies, including the US dollar (USD), British pound sterling (GBP), and the euro (EUR).

These rates are crucial for businesses, importers, exporters, and individuals who engage in international trade or foreign exchange transactions.

US Dollar (USD):

Buying at ¢10.2949,

Selling at ¢10.3052

British Pound (GBP):

Buying at ¢13.8950

Selling at ¢13.9099

Euro (EUR):

Buying at ¢11.8791

Selling at ¢11.8898

As of Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi remains relatively stable around ₵10.18 to the US dollar.

Currently, the Cedi Slight Appreciation to ¢10.18 against Dollar $1

From the analysis, economists suggest that while the cedi’s appreciation is a step in the right direction, more consistent gains are required over a longer period before market prices begin to respond. Factors such as inflation, import duties, and fuel prices continue to influence pricing across all sectors.

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) recently intensified efforts to stabilize the local currency by injecting liquidity into the forex market and reinforcing monetary policy measures.

Consumers are hopeful that sustained improvement in the cedi’s performance will eventually lead to a reduction in the cost of living, which has remained high in recent months despite government assurances.

The BoG's daily publication of FX rates offers clarity and predictability for those engaged in foreign trade and currency markets.

The BoG’s daily mid-rate serves as a benchmark for interbank transactions and is often used by financial institutions, forex bureaus, and businesses to gauge market movements.
