The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the release of funds for the payment of its temporary staff who were engaged during the recent electoral exercises. This move comes after weeks of concerns raised by affected individuals regarding delays in the disbursement of their allowances.
In a statement issued and signed by the commission chairperson, Mrs. Jean Mensa, on June 12, 2025, stated that all temporary officials—including registration officers, verification officers, and other field operatives—that the approved payments are currently being processed and will be credited to their respective accounts in the coming days.
The EC expressed gratitude to the temporary staff for their patience, dedication, and contribution to the success of the electoral process. It also reiterated its commitment to upholding transparency and fairness in all its operations, including staff remuneration.

I bring you greetings from Electoral Commission (EC) and trust this letter finds you well.
We are pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Finance has today, Thursday, June 12, 2025, released funds for payment of the temporary staff.
The commission is working around the clock to ensure prompt payment.
Temporary staff should be expecting to receive their allowance on or before Friday, June 20, 2025.
