Bank of Ghana Releases New Exchange Rates for Wednesday, July 16, 2025

The Bank of Ghana has released the new exchange rates for Wednesday, July 16, 2025. These rates are based on the average interbank exchange rates used by commercial banks at the close of business on Tuesday, July 15, 2025.

According to the data published by the Bank of Ghana (BoG), the US dollar is being bought at Gh¢10.3948 and sold at Gh¢10.4052. This means if you are selling US dollars to a bank, you will receive Gh¢10.3948 for each dollar. If you are buying dollars from a bank, you will pay Gh¢10.4052 for each dollar.

For the British Pound Sterling, the buying rate is Gh¢13.9218, while the selling rate is Gh¢13.9357. This shows that the pound remains strong against the Ghanaian cedi. People who receive money in pounds or trade in the currency may benefit from the higher exchange value.

The Euro is also performing well. The buying rate for the Euro is Gh¢12.0754, and the selling rate is Gh¢12.0865. This means that both importers and exporters dealing with the euro will see a fairly stable rate.

As of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi remains relatively stable around ₵10.43 to the US dollar.

These exchange rates are important for people who are involved in foreign trade, travel, or receive remittances from abroad. The rates affect the cost of imported goods, international transactions, and the value of money sent from other countries.

The Bank of Ghana publishes these rates to provide transparency and help businesses and individuals plan their transactions. It is important to note that actual rates may vary slightly depending on the bank or forex bureau.

The exchange rate update can be found on the Bank of Ghana’s official platforms, including its website and social media pages.
