Bank of Ghana Releases New Official Exchange Rates for Monday, July 28, 2025

The Bank of Ghana has published the official exchange rates for Monday, July 28, 2025. These rates are based on the average interbank transactions as of the close of business on Friday, July 25, 2025.

The data published by the Bank of Ghana indicated the Ghana cedi continues to trade against major foreign currencies, including the US dollar, British pound, and euro. The buying and selling rates are slightly different, showing the margins banks use when trading foreign currencies.

For the US Dollar (USD), the buying rate is Gh¢10.4448, while the selling rate is Gh¢10.4552. This means banks will buy one dollar at Gh¢10.4448 and sell it at Gh¢10.4552.

The British Pound (GBP) is being bought at Gh¢14.0169 and sold at Gh¢14.0320. This indicates a slight difference between the buying and selling prices, showing the strength of the pound in the market.

For the Euro (EUR), banks are buying it at Gh¢12.2440 and selling at Gh¢12.2561. Like the other currencies, the margin is small but important for commercial transactions.

As of Monday, July 28, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi is Gh¢10.42 to the US dollar.

These rates are used by commercial banks when dealing with importers, exporters, and other financial institutions. However, individuals exchanging money at forex bureaus may find slightly different rates, as retail rates often vary.

The Bank of Ghana updates these rates regularly to reflect changes in the global and local economy. It encourages the public to follow the official rates on its website or social media platforms to avoid being misled by unofficial sources.
