Curfew hours in Nalerigu reviewed from 6pm – 6am effective July 31
The Ministry of the Interior has announced revised curfew hours for Nalerigu Township and its surrounding communities in the East Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region.
According to the signed by Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Member of Parliament, on behalf of the Interior Ministry, the new curfew is set to take effect from Thursday, July 31, 2025.
The curfew will be enforced from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., following a decision based on the advice of the National Security Council and formalized under an Executive Instrument.
The government is urging traditional leaders, youth groups, and residents to remain calm and use peaceful, lawful means to address any disputes.
Meanwhile, there total ban on the possession of arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons remains in effect. Individuals found in breach of this directive will be arrested and prosecuted.
