Dollar slightly stable, Pound gains, and Euro dips as Bank of Ghana Publishes Daily Exchange Rates for Monday, July 7, 2025.

The Bank of Ghana has published its official daily exchange rates for Monday, July 7, 2025, reflecting notable movements in the value of major international currencies against the Ghanaian cedi.

According to data published by the Bank of Ghana (BoG), the US dollar remained relatively stable, while the British pound sterling appreciated marginally. In contrast, the euro experienced a slight depreciation.

The US dollar opened the day at a buying rate of GH¢10.3148 and a selling rate of GH¢10.3252. This shows almost no change compared to the previous trading day, indicating relative stability in dollar-to-cedi transactions across commercial banks.

The British pound sterling, however, recorded an uptick. It is now being bought at GH¢14.0798 and sold at GH¢14.0959, representing a modest increase from last week’s figures.

This rise is attributed to continued investor confidence in the UK economy amid global market adjustments and increased demand for the pound in both corporate and personal remittance sectors in Ghana.

However, the euro saw a minor dip. The buying rate fell to GH¢12.1200, while the selling rate declined to GH¢12.1318. Market analysts believe this drop reflects shifts in the Eurozone’s economic outlook, especially in response to recent inflation data and monetary policy signals from the European Central Bank.

As of Monday, July 7, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi remains relatively stable around ₵10.40 to the US dollar.

These rates are used by commercial banks and other financial institutions to guide transactions involving foreign currencies.

It is important for businesses and individuals who deal in foreign currency to pay attention to these rates, especially importers, exporters, travelers, and forex traders.

The Bank of Ghana daily updates these rates to reflect changes in the international currency market. People are advised to check with their banks, as actual rates may differ slightly depending on the bank’s policies and service charges.

These exchange rates represent average interbank rates used by commercial banks as of the close of business on Friday, July 4, 2025.
