GES announces placement for SHS and TVET schools.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has commenced placing Junior High School Students into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical Vocational Training Schools.
According to the statement released on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the GES emphasized that securing a school placement for students through this process is absolutely free.
The Ministry of Education, through the GES, warned parents and guardians against paying money to any individual, including ministry officials or third parties, for assistance with the school placement process.
“If you encounter a person asking for money, report them immediately to the Ghana Police Service or the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP),” the statement cautioned.

The GES stressed that cooperation from the public is crucial in ensuring a fair process for all students during the computerized placement.
