GES Releases Recruitment Update 2025
The Ghana Education Service's (GES) has released a 2025 teacher recruitment update making rounds on social media discovers that the GES has received clearance from the Ministry of Finance. The letter added that the recruitment process for 2025 has been approved and will begin soon.
However, our checks on social media "GES Facebook page" revealed that the GES has described the press release and its content as fake.
The GES has for the 4th time in the year warned the public not to believe any information announcing the start of recruitment until they see the information on its official communication channels.
According to the GES, teachers and the general public should only source information about the service from its official GES Facebook page and GES WhatsApp Channel.
The fake GES 2025 teacher recruitment update press release contained a contact number as well, which the criminals behind the letter intended to use as a conduit to scam unsuspecting teaching and non-teaching staff.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released an update on its 2025 recruitment process, opening a significant opportunity for qualified graduates and trained teachers across the country. This announcement comes as part of the government’s broader agenda to improve teaching and learning outcomes in public schools.
In a statement, the Ghana Education Service (GES) stated the recruitment process for 2025 has been approved and will begin in the coming days. Interested applicants are advised to take note of the following:
1. GTLE Qualified Teachers – Applicants who have passed the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) and have all required documents should contact us for support with posting.
2. 2024 Recruited Teachers—Teachers posted last year who have not yet received their Staff ID should get in touch for assistance.
3. Pending Applications & Masterlist Issues –
Applicants whose status remained pending last year.
Applicants who received appointment letters but were not captured in the master list, Such persons should reach out for guidance.
4. New Applicants—Both diploma and degree holders interested in applying for the ongoing recruitment can contact us for assistance.
5. Non-Teaching Staff – Opportunities are also available for those seeking administrative and other non-teaching positions.
The GES further emphasized its commitment to ensuring fairness and transparency in the recruitment process, warning applicants to be cautious of fraudulent individuals or groups claiming to have influence over placement.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) assured the public that the recruitment exercise will strictly follow laid-down procedures and all applications must be submitted through the official online portal.
