GES releases postings for teachers returning from study leave.


The Ghana Education Service (GES) has officially released postings for teachers who have returned from study leave, marking an important step in their reintegration into the classroom. The move is aimed at ensuring that qualified teachers resume active service promptly to support teaching and learning across the country.

In a letter released and signed by Daniel Afenyi, the head of the Public Relations Officer, on Friday, January 30, 2026, GES wishes to inform teachers that their postings have been completed and are available for access.

According to the statement, the postings cover teachers who completed approved courses of study and have fulfilled all required documentation. They are required to visit the GES portal via the link https://bit.ly/StudyLeaveReturn to obtain their Postings Checker and print out their placement slips.

The printed placement slips must then be submitted to the respective Regional Education Directorates between Monday, February 2, and Friday, February 6, 2026, to receive their Posting Letters.

The Education Service has expressed its enthusiasm to welcome back the returning teachers and has urged them to report to their assigned stations to resume their duties.

The service emphasized its commitment to ensuring a smooth transition for the returning teachers and looks forward to their contributions to the education sector.

The GES reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of education by effectively deploying trained teachers to where they are most needed.
