Woman flees after home vandalized over witchcraft allegations in Bimbilla

A woman in Bimbilla and her husband have reportedly fled their home after local youths allegedly vandalized their home over claims of witchcraft.

Fusheini Eliasu, the couple’s son, confirmed the incident to Citi News, adding that he is currently unaware of his parents’ whereabouts.

“I do not know where they are at the moment,” he said.

He noted that the attack has been reported to the police and claimed he knows the identities of those responsible.

While the motive behind the allegations remains unclear, similar incidents linked to accusations of witchcraft have occasionally been reported in parts of the Northern Region.

Authorities are expected to investigate and hold those responsible accountable.
