Validation and Posting of Health Professionals: Ministry of Health Outlines 2026 Recruitment Process
The Ministry of Health Ghana has announced the official validation and posting process for health professionals under its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, assuring applicants that the process will proceed as scheduled without delays.
In a public notice dated April 15, 2026, the Ministry emphasized that eligibility verification remains a compulsory requirement for all prospective applicants. Candidates are required to visit the official recruitment portal to validate their status using their PIN or index number.
According to the Ministry, this verification step is crucial to confirm applicants’ standing with their respective professional councils. It is also intended to promote transparency and uphold professional standards throughout the recruitment process.
A detailed rollout schedule has been released for various categories of health professionals:
- April 16–20, 2026: PIN verification on the recruitment portal
- April 22–25, 2026: Pharmacists, Pharmaceutical Technicians, Physician Assistants, and Community Health Assistants
- April 27 – May 1, 2026: Allied Health Professionals
- May 4–15, 2026: Nurses and Midwives
Regional processing will follow a structured timeline:
- May 4–5: Upper East and Upper West Regions
- May 6–7: Savannah and North East Regions
- May 8–9: Oti and Bono East Regions
- May 10–11: Western North and Ahafo Regions
- May 12: Volta and Northern Regions
- May 13: Central and Western Regions
- May 14: Bono and Ashanti Regions
- May 15: Eastern and Greater Accra Regions
The Ministry further indicated that priority will be given to the 2021 batch of nurses and midwives, as part of efforts to clear backlog and ensure fairness in postings.
