GATISA Announces Dates for 2026 Super Zonal Games and Athletics Competition
The Greater Accra Technical Institutions Sports Association (GATISA), under the Ghana TVET Service, has officially announced the dates for the 2026 Super Zonal Games and Athletics Competition.
The much-anticipated sporting event will take place from 16th to 19th June 2026, bringing together students from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions across the Greater Accra Region to compete in various sporting disciplines.
The Games Competition will be held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra from 16th to 17th June 2026, while the Athletics Competition is scheduled for 18th to 19th June 2026 at the Borteyman Sports Stadium.
This year's competition is being organized under the theme "TVETPlaysFair," with the motto: “One TVET, One Spirit — Play Fair, Bonded Through Sports for Excellence and Unity.”
The event is expected to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and unity among students while showcasing the athletic talents within the TVET sector.
Activities will run daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and participating institutions are encouraged to make adequate preparations ahead of the competition.
The Super Zonal Games and Athletics Competition remains one of the flagship sporting events on the Ghana TVET Service calendar, fostering healthy competition and strengthening relationships among TVET institutions in the Greater Accra Region.
