GES Clears Three Years of Academic Intervention Arrears for SHS and SHTS Staff (Read More...)

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the payment of three years' Academic Intervention arrears for eligible staff of Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs).

According to a statement issued by the GES Public Relations Unit on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, the payments cover the 2023/2024, 2024/2025, and 2025/2026 academic years.

The Service said the payment is expected to boost staff morale and strengthen the implementation of the academic intervention programme across second-cycle institutions.

GES also expressed appreciation to affected staff for their patience, understanding, and professionalism while awaiting the release of the arrears.

The Service reaffirmed its commitment to improving the quality of education through sustained investment in academic intervention programmes and support for teaching staff.

The statement was signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at the Ghana Education Service.
