PRINCOF Releases 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for Colleges of Education
The National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education, Ghana (PRINCOF), has released the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar for Colleges of Education across the country.
According to the calendar, Level 400 students are scheduled to report to campus on 7th September 2026 for orientation ahead of their Macro Teaching programme. They will subsequently report to their respective teaching stations on 11th September 2026 to begin Macro Teaching.
Meanwhile, Level 100, 200 and 300 students are expected to report to campus on 12th October 2026 for the first session of the first semester, which will run for 10 weeks.
The first semester will break for Christmas on 19th December 2026, with students expected to return to campus on 11th January 2027 for the second session of the semester.
First-semester examinations for Levels 100, 200 and 300 are scheduled to take place from 25th January to 5th February 2027. Students will then go home for vacation on 6th February 2027.
For Level 400 students, Macro Teaching in schools is scheduled to begin on 20th February 2027.
The second semester will officially commence on 22nd March 2027, when Levels 100, 200, 300 and 400 students report to campus. The second semester is expected to last 14 weeks.
End-of-second-semester examinations for all four levels are scheduled for 14th to 25th June 2027, after which students will proceed home for vacation on 26th June 2027.
The calendar provides important dates for students and staff as they prepare for the 2026/2027 academic year.
