The University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has dismissed Frank Anderson, an MPhil student from the Department of Special Education, for his involvement in a fraudulent scheme involving fake admissions, fraud certificates, and falsified academic results.

Investigations revealed that Anderson misrepresented as someone who could forged grades, fix ICs, and secure “protocol admissions” for fees between GHS 1,000 and GHS 3,000.

There was no evidence that they accessed UEW’s official grading system (OSIS 2) to alter results. He and his accomplices created fake PDF versions of WASSCE certificates to deceive students, mainly operating within Suhum, Mangoase, Nsawam, and Winneba area.

Students who paid to have their grades manipulated or entered the university through these fraudulent means have also been officially withdrawn.

Mr. Anderson is currently in jail for similar offences and remains on trial at the Winneba High Court.

The university has made it clear he acted without the institution’s knowledge or approval and has reiterated its commitment to academic integrity.
