Bank of Ghana (BoG) Releases Daily Exchange Rates for Monday, 23rd June 2025

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) has announced the official interbank exchange rates for Monday, June 23, 2025, based on trading activity from the previous day.

In the statement released by the Bank of Ghana, the Ghanaian cedi (GH₵) continues to experience fluctuations against major foreign currencies, including the US dollar (USD), British pound sterling (GBP), and the euro (EUR).

These rates are crucial for businesses, importers, exporters, and individuals who engage in international trade or foreign exchange transactions.

For the US dollar, the buying rate stands at GH₵10.2949, while the selling rate is GH₵10.3052. This means that banks are willing to purchase one US dollar at GH₵10.2949 and sell it at GH₵10.3052.

The British pound sterling is being bought at GH₵13.8661 and sold at GH₵13.8810, indicating the pound remains significantly stronger than the cedi, as expected. This rate is especially relevant for students, travelers, and businesses dealing with partners in the United Kingdom.

For the euro, the buying rate is GH₵11.8666, and the selling rate is GH₵11.8783. The euro continues to hold firm against the cedi, reflecting ongoing global economic dynamics.

The US dollar mid-rate stood at approximately ₵10.29 per USD, a marginal depreciation of about 0.01% from the previous day.

As of Monday, June 23, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi remains relatively stable around ₵10.29 to the US dollar. The BoG's daily publication of FX rates offers clarity and predictability for those engaged in foreign trade and currency markets.

The BoG’s daily mid-rate serves as a benchmark for interbank transactions and is often used by financial institutions, forex bureaus, and businesses to gauge market movements.
