The Bank of Ghana has announced the official exchange rates for major foreign currencies for Monday, June 30, 2025. These new rates will guide the buying and selling of foreign currencies by commercial banks across the country.

According to the released by the Bank of Ghana (BoG), the Ghanaian cedi (GH₵) continues to experience fluctuations against major foreign currencies, including the US dollar (USD), British pound sterling (GBP), and the euro (EUR). 

however  BoG, the rates are based on the average interbank exchange rates recorded at the close of business on Friday, June 27, 2025.

For the United States dollar (USD), the buying rate is set at GH¢10.3048, while the selling rate is GH¢10.3152. This means that if someone wants to sell dollars to the bank, they will receive GH¢10.3048 for every dollar. However, if they want to buy dollars from the bank, they will pay GH¢10.3152 for each dollar.

The British pound (GBP) is also trading higher. The buying rate for the pound is GH¢14.1403, while the selling rate stands at GH¢14.1555. This shows that the British currency continues to maintain a strong position against the Ghanaian Cedis 

For the Euro (EUR), the buying rate is GH¢12.0620, and the selling rate is GH¢12.0729. This also reflects a steady performance of the euro in Ghana’s foreign exchange market.

As of Monday, June 30, 2025, the Ghanaian Cedi remains relatively stable around ₵10.35 to the US dollar. 

These rates are used by commercial banks and other financial institutions to guide transactions involving foreign currencies.

It is important for businesses and individuals who deal in foreign currency to pay attention to these rates, especially importers, exporters, travelers, and forex traders.

The Bank of Ghana daily updates these rates to reflect changes in the international currency market. People are advised to check with their banks, as actual rates may differ slightly depending on the bank’s policies and service charges.
