Check Out Date: Recruitment into GAF to start soon— Defence Minister
The Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has announced that recruitment into the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will start at the latest by September this year.
According to him in a Facebook post, the John Dramani Mahama administration has decided to recruit 12,000 personnel into the Army in the next four years while they are in power.
However, the minister stressed that recruitment and enlistment into the Ghana Armed Forces will not be for sale but based on merit.
About joining the GAF
As we recruit and enlist 12,000 new personnel (2025-2028) starting latest by September this year. Joining the Ghana Armed Forces will be based on merit, not money,” he said in a post shared via social media.
The minister further assures that the government is working tirelessly to ensure that Ghanaian Military Personnel are given the best care and support they deserve, considering the work they do.
“We’re working hard to ensure our Military Personnel get the best care and support,” he added.
