YEA graduates second batch of community police assistants

The Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Malik Basintale, will today oversee the graduation of the second batch of Community Police Assistants.

This latest batch brings the total number of recruits under the initiative to 12,000 nationwide.

The Community Police Assistant programme, implemented by YEA in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, is designed to support law enforcement efforts while providing young people with employment opportunities.

The initiative forms part of the government’s broader agenda to tackle youth unemployment, strengthen community policing, and enhance public safety across the country.

Officials say the newly graduated recruits will soon be deployed to various communities to complement the work of the police by improving visibility, assisting with patrols, and engaging with residents to promote security.
