Ministry of Education (MoE) set to release 2025 school placement—Check Out Date.
According to the Ministry of Education (MoE) that 2025 School Placement will be released on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
When the placements are out, all prospective candidates and parents will be able to access the schools students have been placed in from the Computerized School Selection and Placement System portal (CSSPS Portal).
The Ministry of Education (MoE), through the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Abass Apaak, has confirmed that the placement is totally free.
He has also warned parents to be vigilant and not to pay anyone demanding money for placement. Such money-extorting persons are to be reported to the Ministry of Education, the Ghana police, or the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
The release of the school placements will permit parents and their wards to know the schools they have been placed in. It will usher parents and students into the next phase, where they prepare to enroll.
Between September 17, and October 17, all students placed will be required, with the support of their parents, to go through the pre-enrollment process by completing all required admission processes in the respective schools they have been placed in.
When a student is placed in any school, he or she, with the support of the parent, must print the following documents for enrollment purposes.
1. Enrollment form
2. The placement file, which contains the school placed in, region, district, accommodation type offered, etc.
3. Prospectus, which contains the list of items to be submitted on the day of enrollment.
When the 2025 school placement is out on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 some students are likely not to be placed. Such candidates may have passed the exam yet lost out when it came to the competition for limited spots or slots in the schools they chose. Such candidates will often be offered a second window of opportunity through the self-placement module. School supplies
Parents whose wards are not automatically placed must use the self-placement opportunity to select a school, a programme, and other things. The MoE is expected to provide more details on this in the coming days.
Students who are automatically placed cannot change their schools. They can also not change the program or accommodation type that comes with the placement.
According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), the 2025 school placement will be fair, transparent, and stress-free. This objective was giving a test drive when the government opened the portal from August 27 to September 8, for parents and candidates to cross-check the schools, programs, etc., in the CSSPS portal database and report any errors to help clean the data ahead of the school placement.
However, in a related development, all students entering SHS1 after the release of the placements are expected to start reporting for school from October 18, 2025.
