2025 GAF Recruitment: Applicant Arrested for Presenting Fake Documents
An applicant has been arrested in the ongoing Ghana Armed Forces recruitment screening at the El-Wak Sports Stadium for allegedly forging documents.
According to a report by YEN on Thursday, November 20, 2025, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have arrested an individual who tried to join the military using forged documents.
During a screening process, it became clear that the documents presented by the applicant were fake.
Lieutenant Colonel Rita Anane, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Nicholson Stadium (Burma Camp), explained that the voucher he purchased was not valid and that the summary sheet he presented, which is normally generated after applying on the official website, was fraudulent. This made him ineligible to proceed with the recruitment process.
The officer used the opportunity to caution all prospective recruits to ensure that they obtain their vouchers only from the designated post offices. She stressed that using unverified sources could lead to serious consequences, including disqualification.
This latest incident comes as part of GAF’s effort to improve the recruitment process after the tragic stampede at El Wak Stadium, which led to multiple injuries. In response, the military has implemented stricter measures to ensure safety and order during recruitment exercises.
These include screening applicants across multiple centers and restricting access to non-applicants to prevent overcrowding.
GAF continues to warn the public against attempting to use fake documents or unofficial vouchers. The military also reminds citizens that all official recruitment announcements are published through credible channels, and any suspicious activities should be reported immediately.
Authorities say these steps are necessary to protect applicants and maintain the integrity of the recruitment process.
