Bolga East DCE appeals for completion of Bolga-Bawku road.

The Chief Executive of the Bolgatanga East District, Jacob Abugre Aka-Eri, has made a passionate appeal to the Roads Minister and Upper East Regional Minister, Donatus Akamurigre Atanga, to see to the fixing of the Kulaa River on the Bolgatanga-Bawku road.

The DCE said the bad nature of the road makes life uncomfortable for residents.

“Between Bolga township and Zuarungu, the dust on the road is a major problem that needs to be fixed. So we are only appealing to the regional minister to do something about the dusty Bolga-Bawku road at the Kolaa stretch to reduce the hardship faced by residents and road users.”

The DCE, who was speaking on Bolga FM’s Tinmaalgo Sanga while welcoming the introduction of the DRIP machines, which he says is clear evidence of expanding the road network, says the region received only two bulldozers, which is also a challenge that delays work progress.

The DCE appealed to the government to expedite the completion of the Bolga–Bawku road project and ensure the contractor returns to the site.
