GAF Announces Commencement Date for First Batch of Military Training
The Ghana Armed Forces has officially announced the next stage of its recent recruitment exercise, confirming that training for newly enlisted personnel will begin shortly.
This development follows the successful completion of a nationwide selection process that drew thousands of applicants from across the country.
In an official statement released on March 17, the military disclosed that 2,000 candidates have been selected for the first batch of training. This group forms part of a larger intake, with a total of four batches scheduled to undergo training at different intervals.
According to the Armed Forces, the phased approach is intended to enhance efficiency and ensure that each batch receives adequate supervision, discipline, and attention throughout the training period.
Selected candidates have been directed to report to designated centres across all 16 regions on Wednesday, March 18, at exactly 9:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, recruits will complete necessary documentation processes, including the collection of appointment letters and detailed training guidelines outlining expectations, rules, and required preparations.
Authorities have emphasized strict adherence to all instructions. Failure to report on time or meet the stated requirements may result in disqualification from the programme.
The military has also urged recruits to adequately prepare for the rigorous nature of the training, both physically and mentally.
This initiative highlights the Armed Forces’ ongoing commitment to strengthening national security by building a well-trained and disciplined force, while also providing meaningful employment opportunities for Ghanaian youth.
