NTC Warns Public Against Fake Teaching Recruitment Scams

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has issued a strong public disclaimer, cautioning individuals to be wary of fraudulent recruitment schemes falsely linked to the Council.

In an official Facebook post on March 19, 2026, the NTC clarified that it does not recruit teachers or charge any fees for job placements. The warning follows a surge in reports of scammers impersonating the Council and deceiving unsuspecting job seekers with fake employment offers.

According to the NTC, any individual or group claiming to offer teaching jobs on its behalf and demanding payment is engaging in fraud. The Council stressed that such claims are completely false and should be treated with extreme caution.

The disclaimer is part of the NTC’s efforts to protect the public—especially job seekers—from exploitation. It emphasized that its core mandate is to regulate teacher licensing and uphold professional standards, not to handle recruitment or employment.

The public is therefore urged to report anyone making such false claims to the appropriate authorities. The Council also advised individuals to verify all information through its official communication channels before taking action.

Recruitment-related scams have become increasingly common, with fraudsters using social media, messaging platforms, and informal networks to spread misinformation and lure victims. These scams often involve requests for payment under the pretext of processing fees, placement charges, or documentation costs.

By issuing this notice, the NTC aims to raise awareness and prevent financial loss among citizens. It reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and encouraged the public to remain vigilant.

Job seekers are strongly advised to rely only on credible and verified sources when searching for opportunities and to avoid any individual or platform that demands money in exchange for employment.
