NSA Releases Postings for 18,416 Trained Teachers for 2026/2027 Service Year
The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released postings for 18,416 trained teachers as part of preparations for the 2026/2027 National Service Year. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
The postings cover graduates who have successfully completed accredited teacher education programmes at recognized Colleges of Education nationwide, making them eligible for national service.
All affected personnel are required to visit the NSA’s official website (https://gnsa.gov.gh/home) to check their placements. They must then follow the outlined procedures to complete the mandatory regional validation process.
According to the Authority, national service for the posted teachers will commence on Monday, May 4, 2026.
The regional validation exercise will run from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Friday, May 15, 2026. The NSA has therefore urged all prospective service personnel to comply within the stipulated period to avoid any challenges with their placement.
The Authority further reminded the public that, under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), all Ghanaian citizens aged 18 and above who have completed accredited tertiary institutions—including universities and Colleges of Education—are required by law to undertake national service.
