Seven Feared Dead in Dawn Crash on Bolgatanga–Bawku Highway: See Photos 

At least seven people are feared dead following a tragic head-on collision between a VVIP bus and a Toyota Sienna with registration number UE 302-25 at Saka, a community near Zebilla in the Bawku West District.

The accident occurred at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, along the busy Bolgatanga–Bawku Highway. Several other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash.

According to the source, emergency responders and paramedics were quickly dispatched to the scene and transported the injured victims to the Zebilla Government Hospital for medical treatment.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the Toyota Sienna may have fallen asleep while driving, causing the vehicle to veer into the lane of the oncoming VVIP bus. The resulting collision led to multiple fatalities and injuries.

Authorities have since launched further investigations into the incident, while efforts continue to identify all victims and provide support to affected families
