GES Releases Update on Teacher Recruitment, Warns Applicants Against Recruitment Scams

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an important update to applicants participating in its ongoing teacher recruitment exercise, assuring the public that the recruitment process remains free and cautioning applicants against fraudsters demanding money.

In a statement dated July 28, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, GES emphasized that recruitment into the Service is conducted at no cost.

The Service urged applicants who receive phone calls or messages from individuals claiming to be GES officials requesting payment to secure employment to disregard such requests and report the matter to the police.

The statement also announced that regional postings for successful applicants are now available on the GES recruitment portal. Successful candidates are advised to log into the portal using their vouchers to access their posting details free of charge.

According to GES, applicants who have received postings are expected to report to their respective Regional Education Offices from August 7, 2026, to begin the onboarding process.

Management of the Ghana Education Service expressed appreciation to all applicants for their patience and cooperation throughout the recruitment exercise and wished successful candidates well as they prepare to assume their new roles.

The announcement serves as both a recruitment update and a reminder for applicants to remain vigilant against scammers seeking to exploit the recruitment process.
