Jealous Boyfriend Allegedly Attacks 18-Year-Old Okada Rider with Machete After Girlfriend Sat on His Lap in Diaso
An 18-year-old okada rider is reportedly receiving treatment after allegedly being attacked with a machete following a misunderstanding involving a young woman in Diaso, located in Ghana's Central Region.
According to the victim, Yaw Boakye, popularly known as "Killer Ntua," the incident began earlier in the day at an okada station.
Boakye alleged that a food vendor identified as Perpetual, who is said to be the girlfriend of the suspect, briefly sat on his lap. He claimed he immediately asked her to get up and cautioned her not to repeat the act.
According to Boakye, Perpetual became upset and later informed her boyfriend, identified as Enoch, also known as "Awoye," about what had happened.
Boakye further alleged that at around 3:00 p.m., while returning from his farm with his parents, Enoch intercepted him with a vehicle, nearly knocking him down before confronting him.
He claimed the suspect then attacked him with a machete while repeatedly warning him to stay away from his girlfriend.
The victim also alleged that the suspect attempted to inflict more serious injuries during the attack, but the machete failed to penetrate his body.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and authorities are yet to publicly comment on the incident.
