The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released an important update on its recent recruitment exercise, announcing that successful applicants will begin their onboarding process from Friday, August 7, 2026.
The onboarding exercise, which will take place at the respective regional offices of successful applicants, will continue until the end of August. The move marks the next major step towards officially integrating newly recruited teachers and education staff into the GES system.
The announcement was made by Daniel Fenyi, Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Education Service, through a Facebook post on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
According to Mr. Fenyi, successful applicants are expected to report to the regions where they have been posted to complete the required onboarding procedures. However, he cautioned applicants against travelling without first contacting their regional offices for confirmation and further guidance.
He explained that some applicants may be travelling from distant locations, and contacting the regional offices beforehand would help them receive the necessary information and avoid unnecessary delays.
Applicants have been encouraged to save the contact details of their assigned regional offices. The telephone numbers of the various offices have been provided in the comment section of Mr. Fenyi’s Facebook post.
“From this Friday up to the end of the month, successful applicants in the just-ended recruitment exercise will be going to their respective regions of posting to begin their onboarding processes,” Mr. Fenyi stated.
The Public Relations Unit of the Ghana Education Service has also assured successful applicants of continuous support throughout the onboarding process until they receive their first salaries.
The latest development is expected to bring relief to thousands of applicants who have been eagerly waiting for further instructions after the recruitment exercise.
Successful applicants are advised to contact their regional offices before travelling and ensure they have all the required documents needed for a smooth onboarding process.
