GES Establishes Help Desk to Resolve Outstanding Salary Arrears for Teachers
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has established a dedicated Help Desk at its headquarters to assist teachers with unresolved concerns regarding outstanding salaries and arrears.
The move follows a petition submitted by the Coalition of Unpaid Teachers, representing some teachers recruited in 2024, over unpaid salaries, arrears, and other related concerns.
In a statement dated September 8, 2026, and signed by the Head of Public Relations at the GES, Daniel Fenyi, the Service said records available to management indicate that salaries and arrears due to teachers within the affected group have been processed.
However, the GES acknowledged that some individual cases may still require further verification and resolution.
According to the Service, the Help Desk has been established to facilitate the prompt resolution of outstanding cases and assist affected teachers with the necessary procedures.
Where Affected Teachers Can Seek Assistance
Teachers who continue to have unresolved salary or arrears concerns have been directed to report to the Help Desk at Room 305 of the GES Headquarters with all relevant supporting documents.
The documents will enable management to verify their cases and take the necessary steps to address them.
For teachers who are unable to visit the GES headquarters in person, the Service has provided alternative channels for assistance.
Affected teachers may contact the Help Desk on 0201360786 or 0201360789 for guidance on how to submit their details remotely.
The GES management assured affected teachers that it remains committed to resolving all legitimate concerns promptly while safeguarding the welfare of teachers across the country.
