Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) to Engage GNAT, NAGRAT, and PRETAG Over Salaries and Conditions (Check Out Date…)
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) has invited key teacher unions, including the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Pre-Tertiary Teachers Association of Ghana (PRETAG)
In a letter dated March 31, 2026, issued under the authority of Dr. Baaba A. Anquandah, Director of Salary Administration, on behalf of the Chief Executive.
The meeting is expected to bring together major stakeholders in Ghana’s education sector to deliberate on issues relating to salaries, allowances, and overall working conditions of teachers.
It forms part of ongoing engagements between government agencies and teacher unions aimed at addressing concerns over compensation and ensuring industrial harmony within the sector.
Other relevant unions and stakeholders have also been invited, highlighting the importance of inclusive dialogue in resolving long-standing labour issues. The outcome of the meeting is anticipated to play a significant role in shaping future decisions on public sector wages, particularly within the education sector.
