National Sports College Trains 43 Participants in Sports Law Programme at Winneba 

The National Sports College, Winneba has successfully concluded its maiden Sports Law Course at its campus in Winneba, marking a significant milestone in Sports Education in Ghana.

A total of 43 participants—comprising 37 males and 6 females—took part in the programme. The cohort represented a diverse mix of stakeholders within the sports industry, including administrators, club officials, physical education instructors, and former athletes.

This blend of backgrounds fostered meaningful networking opportunities and the exchange of practical insights.

The course was facilitated by Enam Dzakpasu, Antonio Vicente, Andre Costa, Akashi Batra, and Fraser Williamson. Key areas covered included the fundamentals of sports law, dispute resolution mechanisms, sports contracts and regulatory frameworks, anti-doping regulations, and proceedings at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

 

Speaking on behalf of the College Director, Mad. Ethel Banoyelle, the Administrator of the College described the successful delivery of the course as a major step forward in advancing sports development in the country. She urged participants to apply the knowledge acquired to make meaningful contributions to the growth of the sports sector.



The programme was coordinated by the College’s technical team, led by Emmanuel Appiah, in collaboration with Almeida & Associados.
