UCC Opens 2026/2027 Admissions for Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Sandwich Programmes; Announces Entry Requirements and Deadline

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has officially opened applications for its Sandwich, Regular Undergraduate, and Postgraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The announcement invites qualified applicants from across Ghana and beyond to take advantage of the university’s diverse academic offerings, designed to equip students with relevant knowledge and practical skills for today’s competitive job market.
Application Deadlines:
- Regular Applications: July 31, 2026.
- Sandwich (Campus) Applications: June 30, 2026.
General Admission Requirements:
Undergraduate Applicants:
Prospective undergraduate students must possess one of the following:
WASSCE/SSSCE Holders:- Credit passes (A1–C6 for WASSCE or A–D for SSSCE) in six (6) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) core subjects relevant to the chosen programme.
General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE):
- Credit passes in six (6) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Passes in at least two subjects, with a good General Paper result.
Mature Applicants:
- Must be at least 25 years old and pass the university’s entrance examination and/or interview.
Postgraduate Applicants:
- Applicants must hold a good first degree (usually a minimum of Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized institution.
- Some programmes may require relevant work experience and/or an interview.
Sandwich Applicants:
- Primarily designed for working professionals, especially in the education sector.
- Applicants must meet the specific entry requirements for their chosen programme, which may include teaching qualifications or relevant professional experience.
How to Apply
Prospective applicants can obtain application vouchers from designated banks, including
- Prudential Bank Ghana
- Agricultural Development Bank (ADB)
- Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB)
- Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG)
Alternatively, applicants can conveniently dial *772*40# on their mobile phones to purchase a UCC application voucher and proceed with the application process.
2026/2027 Application Fees:
Generally GHS 220.00 for applicants.
