2nd Annual National TVET Sports Championship 2026: 16 Regions to Compete in Football and Athletics in Kumasi
The Ghana TVET Service, Greater Accra Region, is set to host the 2nd Annual National TVET Sports Championship from October 10 to 13, 2026, at the Paa Joe Sports Complex, KNUST, Kumasi.
The championship, which is being held under the theme “Sports for Excellence,” will feature competitions in football and athletics, with both male and female participants expected to compete.
Football Competition
The football competition for boys and girls will take place during the first two days of the championship, October 10 and 11, 2026.
Athletics Competition
Athletics competitions for boys and girls will follow on October 12 and 13, 2026.
A total of 16 regions will participate in the national championship. The participating regions have been grouped as follows:
Group A
- North East
- Greater Accra
- Savannah
- Bono
Group B
- Upper West
- Ahafo
- Ashanti
- Western North
Group C
- Central
- Volta
- Oti
- Western
Group D
- Northern
- Eastern
- Bono East
- Upper East
The National TVET Sports Championship is expected to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their sporting talents while promoting excellence, teamwork, discipline and healthy competition within Ghana's Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector.
