36 Girls at Popular School Reportedly Pregnant at the Same Time (Watch Video)
A disturbing situation has been reported at Bakisa Girls Secondary School in Kenya, where 36 students have reportedly been affected by teenage pregnancy, according to reports attributed to the school’s administration.
The school’s principal, Ruth Malika, said 10 students are currently pregnant, while 13 have already given birth. Another 13 students reportedly dropped out of school after becoming pregnant, bringing the reported total to 36.
The extent of the situation reportedly emerged after the principal asked a teacher to compile a list of students who were pregnant or had already become mothers.
The revelation has raised concerns about the impact of teenage pregnancy on girls’ education and future opportunities. According to the principal, pregnancy and childbirth can interrupt students’ education and make it difficult for some affected girls to complete their studies.
Police Investigation
Reports indicate that police have begun tracing men suspected of being responsible for the pregnancies.
