NSA Announces Screening Dates for National Service Personnel Seeking Basic Military Training
The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that screening and medical examinations for National Service Personnel who expressed interest in joining the Basic Military Training Programme will take place from Monday, November 2, to Saturday, November 7, 2026.
The exercise forms part of the selection process for prospective trainees who have been preselected for the programme.
According to the announcement, applicants will be required to undergo screening and medical assessments to determine their eligibility and physical fitness before proceeding to the next stage of the programme.
The medical examination is considered an important part of the process, as participants are expected to meet the necessary health and physical fitness requirements associated with military training.
The initiative is expected to provide interested National Service Personnel with an opportunity to acquire basic military training while developing discipline, physical fitness and other essential skills associated with military service.
However, being preselected does not guarantee automatic admission into the programme. Applicants must successfully complete the screening and medical examinations to qualify for further consideration.
Meanwhile, prospective participants are encouraged to follow official communication from the National Service Authority for additional information regarding screening centres, required documents, medical requirements and other arrangements.
The six-day exercise is expected to be a crucial step in determining the personnel who will eventually qualify for the Basic Military Training Programme.
